Mr. James Kormon, Jr.

M.A. Joint, Development Studies & I/R; B.Sc. Econs Hons. Pol. Sc.

Mr. Kormon holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Development Studies and International Relations from Staffordshire University, Stoke-on-Trent, England - United Kingdom; a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Economics with Honors in Political Science, Second Class, Second Division from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, and a High School Diploma from St. Patrick’s High School (now Stella Maris Polytechnic), Capitol Hill, Monrovia, Liberia.

He has over twenty (20) years of experience with emphasis on Monitoring and Evaluation with government institutions (Ministry of Internal Affairs; Commerce and Industry; and Planning & Economic Affairs); UN Agencies (UNICEF, UNOCHA, UNOPS) and NGOs. He has also lectured at various universities in Liberia. In 2007, he served as one of three Regional Coordinators for Liberia’s County Development Agenda (CDA) – a document focusing on good governance, decentralization as well as post-war priorities. Over the years, he has advised policymakers on national programs and policies and attended several meetings as expert. As Lead Consultant with the African Development Associates, he has supervised over fifty consultancies for various NGOs, UN and Government institutions.

He worked in the Republic of Sierra Leone, the State of Eritrea, Somalia and Kenya and taught in the Republic of Sierra Leone. In Eritrea, he served as Field Liaison Officer / Head of Field Office for UNOCHA with the responsibility to coordinate and collaborate with implementing partners and government officials. He also collaborated with local government authorities in initiating draft policy documents on capacity building, agriculture, livelihood activities, education, gender, and women empowerment.

Prof. Geegbae A Geegbae

M.A. Banking and Finance for Development; B.Sc. Economics

Geegbae Athanasius Geegbae is Associate Professor of Economics and Dean of the College of Business and Public Administration and former chairman, Department of Economics at the University of Liberia. Earned a Masters degree in Banking and Finance for Development from the GEORGIO DELL A MORE FOUNDATION, formerly FINAFRICA FOUNDATION in Milano, Italy; and earned a Bachelor’s of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Economics. He is a (2010) UMAPS Scholar of the University of Michigan African Presidential Scholars’ Program (UMAPS) and researched on the topic, “Socio-economic Consequences of Rural-Urban Migration in Liberia: A Post-conflict Analysis -1962 -2008”; Member, of the Academic Board of the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) coordinated the recruitment and nomination of young graduates (teaching assistant) to the AERC Collaborative Masters Programme (CMAP) scholarship Program in economics from 2001 – Present.

Mr. Geegbae has to his credit more than 20 years of experience in teaching, training, economic analysis, and consulting: National Consultant, the United Nations Commission for Africa (UNECA), Liberia Country study on Illicit Financial Flows from Africa; Local Consultant, Academic Board, African Economic Research Consortium (AERC); Rendered consultancy services to the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) – Liberia, including the latest on the “Socioeconomic Impact of the Ebola virus on the Liberia Economy” - a provisional Study, and other Non-governmental Organizations; Economic Advisor to the Council of State, Liberian National Transitional Government ( LNTG -III), R. L.; Deputy Managing Director for Administration, Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation (LWSC); Deputy Comptroller for Debt Management and Acting Comptroller General at the Ministry of Finance, Republic of Liberia; Economic & Financial Analyst, Counterpart to the IMF External Debt Advisor and Assistant Comptroller for Debt Management.

Agnes M. Kormon

M.A. Candidate, I/R; B.A. Pol. Sc & Economics

Mrs. Kormon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Economics from the University of Liberia. She is a candidate for the master’s degree in International Relation from the I.B.B. School of International Relations, University of Liberia. Mrs. Kormon has served in various public positions - Research Analyst, Deputy Director of Passports and Visas, Director of Procurement, and Assistant Minister for Administration, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She holds several certificates including human rights based approach to programming and has served as team leader for various consultancies, for examples, Mid Term Review of Plan Liberia Support to Quality Education in Liberia, Mid Term Review of Plan Liberia Non-formal Rapid Education, FAWE/Liberia Baseline Survey on Violence Against Children and Plan/Liberia End of Term Evaluation on the Non-formal Rapid Education Project; YMCA Liberia Youth Employment Opportunities – Market Analysis and SOS Liberia Assessment of Child Rights Situation Analysis. Mrs. Kormon has also affiliated with other research organizations. She served as a researcher on Customary Land Tenure in Liberia which took place in eleven clans located in eight Counties of Liberia. The research was mainly qualitative and used the Rapid Rural Appraisal method to gather information. The study was implemented under the auspices of Land Commission, implemented by Tetra Tech ARD and supported by USAID; she has also organized several workshops; the most recent one is a workshop to present findings on Customary Tenure and Women Land Rights in Liberia.

Dorbor K. Kabbah


Mr. Kabbah holds a Master of Business Administration-Health Care management (MBA.HCM) from Indiana Wesleyan University, USA; Bachelor of Public Health (BPH) Environmental Science & Health from Indiana University Perdue University, USA; and a diploma - (PA) Physician Assistant (Primary Health Care) from the Tubman National Institute of Medical Arts, Liberia. He has experience in public health skills, Health care management, Environmental Science and general Primary Health Care development & implementation. Mr. Kabbah has served various NGOs. Prominent amongst those positions are Montserrado County Nutrition Coordinator for Action Against Hunger (ACF), an International Organization. At ACF, he designed, and coordinated the nutrition programs in Montserrado County as well as liaised with other county coordinators. He also served as Health Officer for the Medical Emergency & Relief International (MERLIN) in Monrovia. At MERLIN, he planned and reviewed all PHC activities in collaboration with MOH-County Health Team, and other agencies/partners within the health cluster.

Collins Bowah

B.Sc in Biology; Doctor of Medicine (MD)

Dr. Bowah holds a B.Sc in Biology with minor in chemistry and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the A.M.Dogliotti College of Medicine, University of Liberia. Dr. Bowah began his professional career at the JFK medical Center and later moved on the Phebe Hospital as Senior Doctor in Obstetrics and gynecology and at the C.H. Rennie Hospital as Medical Director. He has also lectured at the University of Liberia and the Cuttington University College. He supervised over five nurses who were charged with the responsibility of undertaking the anthropometric survey during ACDI/VOCA LAUNCH baseline survey which was undertaken by ADEAS and TANGO.

Ann- Dora Kargbo Gbormie

MSc. Regional Science, BSc Economics

Mrs. Gbormie holds a Master of Arts degree in Regional Planning from the University of Liberia and a graduate student at the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law, University of Liberia. Mrs. Gbormie is an advocate. She has served in various public positions, for examples, Consultant, Capacity Development and Training, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Liberia; Assistant Minister for Planning, Research and Development - Ministry of Education, Liberia; Chairman - Ministry of Education / Special Presidential Committee on Education Reform Consultant - American Institutes for Research/USAID. Mrs. Gbormie has identified major constraints/issues affecting the Liberian Education Sector and has developed a Plan that seeks to address current challenges. She was instrumental in spearheading the development of a three-year Operational Plan for the Education Sector. She also developed a 5-year program for United Nations Association in Liberia with funding from UNA Sweden using results matrix, budget; Theory of Change, Work Plan, Risk Analysis and M&E plan. She has also conducted research on issues affecting Girls’ Education and developed in consultation with other stakeholders a revised Policy on Girls’ Education; organized regional consultations to review draft National Policy on Girls’ Education and developed Liberia’s Revised National Policy on Girls’ Education.

Prof. Joseph B.S. Sadyue


Prof. Sadyue holds a BS degree in Business from Paul Quinn College, Waco, Texas and a MBA degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M University at Prairie View, Texas. He is an expert in the formulation of business plans. He has also evaluated several microfinance activities. He served as team leader for Plan Liberia Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) Microfinance Baseline Survey. In collaboration with the Tehr Clan Development Association, he has undertaken several midterm reviews and surveys. In 1998, he spearheaded a survey on damaged structures in Tehr Clan, Klay district and has also served as consultant for Bomi County proposed Five Year Development Plan.

Dormorwa N’Debewellie

B.Sc. Nursing (B.A. Nursing)

Mrs. N’Debewille holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Nursing from the Cuttington University and a Diploma in Nursing from the Tubman National Institute of Medical Arts. She served as Reproductive Nurse Supervisor with emphasis on nutrition for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers while at the Cuttington University. She has over ten (10) years of practical experience in hospital, home health and Primary Health Care (PHC) as well as nutrition specialist. Mrs. N’ Debewellie has worked with malnourished children in several parts of Liberia including Rivercess, Ganta and Suakoko.
