WHO ARE WE?
The African Development Associates (ADEAS) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) founded in 1989. Its article of incorporation was amended in 2007. As a not-for-profit organization, ADEAS is registered under Title five (5) of the Liberia Code of Law revised of May 17, 1976, which is also known and referred to as the Association Law of Liberia. ADEAS membership cuts across religion, sex and nationality.
The mandate of ADEAS is to:
- Assist all stakeholders to work towards the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in Africa.
The Specific Objective (SO) of ADEAS is to:
- Improve the effectiveness of aid, thereby improving the lives of poor people, most especially vulnerable groups
Our governance is comprised of a Secretariat and a Board of Governors. Some members of ADEAS have affiliated with other research and M&E institutions such as People in Aid, United Kingdom (UK), Development Initiatives (DI), UK; the American Evaluation Association (AEA), USA and TANGO International, USA.
